Watching him skate you can just tell that it's what he was born to do. Now with the backing of Skate Mental, DLX and HUF, Jake is well on his way to living the dream!

How did you first get connected with Skate Mental?

I was up in SF filming and skated with Plunkett a couple days, he talked to Staba and it just kinda happened.

Any good advice you’ve learned from Staba?

Don’t drink and drive!

Seems like everyone on Skate Mental has at least one nickname, have you been dubbed with any monikers?

HUF crew has been calling me "Jace" for awhile.

What’s the hardest thing about being an AM in 2016?

Everyone is really good! I'm just going to skate and not worry about it too much.

You got hooked up with HUF through TM Tyler Cichy... But how did meet Tyler? Now that he’s your boss has it affected your friendship at all?

Tyler grew up about 20 miles south of me. He was skating with my brother Mike before me. It's mellow because we have known each other for so long.

What does the “VT” in VT Anderson stand for?

Ventura!

Best / Worst thing about growing up in Ventura?

Ventura's the shit. Only good I have to say about that place.

Switch Kickflips… My brother got that gene.

What’s your oldest brother Cainan do? Does he still skate? What does he think of both his younger brothers making a career out of it?

He works at a bank these days, doesn’t skate anymore but he is stoked on what Mike and I have going on.

Any good stories from traveling with Rizzo and Gottwig lately? Any fun facts?

We just all roast each other while we are out skating! Keeps it funny!

It's always changing depending on who I'm hanging with.
