FTC3 Golden Wristband Extravaganza
The day started out like any other for SkateMore, slumming it on Haight Street, looking for the come up. Except today was different, today there was something special in the air... and no it wasn't the hippies getting lit on the curb... IT WAS FTC3!!!
I arrived at FTC with no idea how I was going to get in, when who do I find skating out front? None other than SkateMore homie Raven Tershy! You have no idea how chill this dude is. He remembered me from Dew Tour and was down to help me out. Suddenly, FTC owner Kent came walking out the front with a fistful of wristbands, some orange, some gold. He came right up to Raven, just saying hi and giving him props. As I'm awkwardly standing next to Raven as they talk, Kent points to me and says, "this is your friend? Well I better give him a gold one." BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!! It was on from there!
Not only did I have an excellent vantage point from the course but had access to free beer and chicken n' waffles from this new restaurant they rented out next door. This was VIP access where dudes like Jim Thiebaud and Jovontae Turner were kickin' it. Security was so tight at one point the Global Director of Brand Marketing for Levis was having trouble getting in, had to flash a business card and everything. From trading Matt Miller some nugs for an Instagram follow, to harrassing T-Funk for an interview (coming soon by the way) SkateMore did you a solid in covering FTC3 and made some great connects for some excellent content to come!
